  2. Architecture is the platform where all cultures, heritages, traditions, and histories meet, through architectural conservation, the built heritage is prolonged and conserved by the planning of individuals or organizations that work solely for the purpose of conservation & preservation of Architectural heritage. Through critical decisions that are based on the criteria of combining, artistic, contextual, and informational values, the heritage is preserved, restored, or sometimes, no actions might be taken for the best interest of the cultural and architectural heritage. Planners, environmentalists, and policy makers are all working together to ensure the conservation and preservation of the cultural, and architectural heritage to the extent of meeting the needs of the present and the needs for the future. The challenge that we face, is not just the conservation and the protection of the heritage, but also how to convey the importance of preserving our heritage to the individuals, communities, and the cities of the world. The role of each and every individual in each community is as important as the role of the vast organizations that always seek to help and protect the environment, and heritage. Following the success of the first international conference on “Conservation of Architectural Heritage“, the second version of the conference will take place in Luxor & Aswan, Egypt on the 5th of February, 2018 till the 8th of February, 2018. Scientific research will foster the attempt to improve the know-how in the field. Expected results include a better understanding of the problems facing architectural heritage, the development of policies favoring its conservation, the definition of practical guidelines and the organization of training and awareness activities. 6. hello guys this is my first post in this club. i need your suggestion. to render smooth from lumion and artlantis i repeatedly getting crashed and getting restart with a bad blue screen. my card is radeon HD7790 sapphire. i am told that this is a gaming card and not perfect for rendering or editing. he suggested quadro 600k 1gb. another friend recommended quadro 4800 1.5gb. both are very close in price and affordable. my deadline is knocking. or should i invest in quadro k4000 3gb, which is about 4 times more expensive than the last 2 models. my friend guided me to sli 2 quadro 4800 and assured best performance. bit confused. pls guide me from your knowledge and experience. thanks.
  7. Hello, I have a client who is seeking to have a significant Arch Viz project completed: Digital walkthroughs for hundreds of homes. This will involve beginning with a basic 3D CAD drawing, texturing, populating with furniture, lighting, and rendering. We aren't concerned about rendering because we have a farm, but what does concern us is how to turn around hundreds of home CAD drawings with all of these steps in any sort of logical time period? Does anyone have any idea of some kind of batch processes can help through the workflow for project like this? Is there some sort of automation tool that can help us to make leaps and bounds of progress without 100% manual labor? By my estimates, if they need 400 homes - with a team of 5, and each person completes a home every two days... it could easily take a team of five people: six months. That's IF they can knock out one every two days. Any help is appreciated!
  8. Studio/Institution: smdp Client: smdp Genre: Commercial Exterior Software: 3ds Max and IRAY Website: http://www.joshpabst.com Description: This is my first time posting to cgarchitect--probably not the last either! I'm fairly new to the site, but love what I'm seeing here. Lot's of great inspirational work. This is a project I recently rendered at our Chicago office. I wanted to share this primarily because, other than levels, there is almost no photoshop work done here. Normally I get fairly heavy-handed in the post-processing, but because we needed to do some animation, I tried to take the actual 3D as far as I could in the 1-2 days I had to work with it.

  12. Hey Everyone, I’m just looking for a little advice before I make a big decision. Basically, I’ve recently finished my architecture degree (part 1) and am struggling to find a job. So after a year of frustrating job searching I’ve decided to do a masters degree in architectural visualisation at Kent University, as I find modelling and rendering in 3Ds max the most enjoyable part of architecture. The problem is, the course is very expensive and I will have to pay up front, so I need to know if this would become a worthwhile venture. I’ve been searching around to see if “Architectural Visualiser” is a legitimate and rewarding job, and this website seems like the best place to ask this. I would gladly pay the expensive course fees, just as long as I can be sure that the industry for this is prosperous and I would be in demand. I really want a stable job at the end of this.... is architectural visualisation going to provide the goods, and be worth the costs? I should stress I already know somewhat about Rendering/ modelling with VRay, using HDRI’s and materials etc, with a year’s guidance, I think I could be very good at this. But is it going to lead to an uphill struggle? Is it a freelance only gig, or are there stable office type jobs for this? THX a lot, a speedy response would be appreciated as I have to start the course soon lol
  13. Studio/Institution: Uniform Genre: Retail Interior Software: 3ds Max, Vray, Fusion, Photoshop Website: http://www.uniform.net Description: We've recently finished a short film on behalf of the Romanian real estate company Nova Imobiliare, the investment group behind The Colosseum project in Bucherest, Romania. The project comprises of a 54 hectre site and includes 200,000m2 of mixed-use development, containing retail, restaurants, leisure facilities and a hotel. The scheme will be Central and Eastern Europe’s largest commercial development with a total value of €350 million. Uniform’s role was to develop a film that gave potential occupiers and customers a clear vision for this spectacular destination. The film had to create a ‘real experience’, telling the story of how the variety of infrastructure and spaces linked together, resulting in a film that provides a fantastic insight into this ‘colossus’ project and how it will look when it’s finished.
