I am working up some hobby Revit designs in 3ds Max using the vray library of materials and furniture to produce the renders.
Revit has been great to model, but you cant get the same detail as 3ds max polygon modeling with chamfers.
I have two starter projects here, which have some basic photoshop post production.
trying to use HDRi for the site and avoid building landscape.
Open to any thoughts, comments on how these could 'pop' - feel free to crit the architecture design as well
My initial thoughts are that the texture maps need dirt/scratches etc

Hi everyone!
This is my very first time posting here. I'm not really sure what I can do more to make this image pop or at least for the time being. I saw different threads here and people were very generous to give tips and ideas so I would love to hear what you guys think. I mean architecture is agreed upon so changing it that much wouldn't be reasonable but who knows as I might just change it completely if it makes sense!
Thanks!

Here's another... slightly more polished. I'm currently looking for ideas to dress the streetscape and balconies.
My goal is to capture the essence of downtown Vancouver living. If you are from Vancouver or knowledgeable about the city's urban center, I'd love to get some ideas about how to dress up the street/sidewalk.
C&C are welcome.

Hello everyone.
I'm new here so hopefully I'm in the right forum for this kind of questions.
Here is one of my latest renders. From what I can tell there is definitely something wrong with it but after staring at it for days I can no longer tell good from bad and I'm giving up on it. Client is happy, I'm getting paid for this render but I just can't let it go. I would appreciate any comments and suggestions.
Cheers.

I've attempted to portray a hot hazy day in the deep south. The model was inspired by Stephen Atkinson's house in Zachary. C & C are welcome.

Here's my interpretation Stephen Atkinson's home in Zachary (Louisiana). I liked the galvanized siding used in this house and figured it would work well with HDR lighting due to the material's reflective nature. Originally, I included 2 large oak trees that currently exist on the property, but decided to swap them out for smaller trees as they obscured most of that nice reflected environmental light. C & C are welcome.

We did this image about a year ago, and i do some post recently.
After some light testing we choose a morning mood with long and soft shadows, but we increase the contrast a little for a more dramatic sense.
