  1. Thoughts and recommendations for Archviz Workstation? I have attached my proposed build. I mainly use 3dsmax and corona, maybe some GPU rendering on the side like enscape or twinmotion.
  2. Hi Everyone, I hope this post finds you well. This is the latest property development I was fortunate enough to have been a part of, and wanted to share the final results. The main brief was to help sell the development off the 2d DWG plans/drawings before construction, by creating a series of 3d marketing images that captured the building's true essence and design ( interior and exterior). My work involved picking the materials, furniture, design and 3d render the space in a way it would be appealing to potential buyers. I have used 3ds Max and V-Ray to create the initial still images. Later, I have developed an interactive App in Unreal Engine, for potential buyers to customise the interior of their apartments. For more information, please google: jamie cardoso Kind Regards Jamie
  3. Hello, could you please tell me why the moving gizmo is flickering on mouse-over as you can see in the following video? https://youtu.be/xXRoZY9Klr4 This happens only when I work with 4 quads viewport. When I switch to Maximize Viewport Toggle is fine. Thanks
  4. Hello, My team is getting bigger and for 3Ds Max 2024 sometimes we share the same files imported in a Master Scene using Xref scenes. Sometimes different members need to work on the same Xref file for different reasons but this workflow create flaws of multiple copies of the same Xref file. Is there any chance similar to Revit or Rhino to have a notification of "File is already open for editing by another user" so I can ask the person is using the file to save, close and pass me the file? Thanks a lot!
  5. Our Terrain plugin for 3DS Max which allows you to generate landscapes from real world elevation data in a couple of clicks has been updated to support Max 2024. The plugin makes use of DEM data that is available freely on-line but instead of you having to locate the right DEM file for your needs, patching them together and importing the data manually our plugin allows you to directly set a latitude and longitude coordinate and the plugin will automatically locate the right data and import it into 3DS Max and generate a mesh to your desired level of detail. You are free to drag the location around and zoom in or out and the plugin will fetch any new data it needs and rebuild the mesh automatically. The data will be stored on your system so future alterations will not require data to be re downloaded. The elevation data is sampled at 90m intervals and also for the US you can select 30m interval data for even more accurate terrains. The plugin allows you to color your mesh based on height with a user customizable color table. The sea level can be changed and you have the option to cap the mesh. At any time you can change the mesh density and you can select to use a given vertex budget or set the distance to use between vertices etc. Another major feature of the plugin is the ability to use Google Earth to generate textures for your terrains (you should have Google Earth Pro if you plan on using the images for commercial use). You can tell the plugin the resolution of the texture you want to apply to your terrain mesh and it will automatically produce the texture for you. The plugin is currently on sale at 50% off as well. You can more information on our Website. Videos showing the plugin in action.
  6. Hi Everyone, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Paride, architect and professional archviz artists based in the UK. Working in the UK for more than 5 years in the visualisation industry, I decided to create a platform where clients and artists can meet and collaborate. This place is now live at cgiFinder and it's welcoming 3D talents from all over the world. It's a safe place to collaborate following a pre-established set of revisions, so forget about working forever on a project, and be safe with our escrow payments. If you want to know more about this journey, you have any feedback and just want to say "hi", check our website or get in touch. https://cgifinder.com info@cgifinder.com

  8. Hey, I wonder if there is any way to make edges more visible like the bottom side of this 3d model?
  9. Hello everyone, here on the site are not long ago. In the sphere of 3ds max are much, in all cmpanii that I activated render was not the final product. Now at the moment I am unemployed and trying to find some clients on the topic of indoor and outdoor 3D visualization. During the time I was employed and now at the moment in my free time I make visualizations so that I do not process and move forward Harder. You can simply give me some advice in finding clients maybe I'm not doing something right and I'm not going in the right direction. Thank you in advance for the advice. I wish you as productive a day as possible. Have a nice day.
  10. Hi all, I practice making scene. source from https://www.archdaily.com/982496/tijolinhos-apartment-minimo-arquitetura-e-design soft: 3dsmax + corona cnc are welcome cheers,,,,,
  11. Can anyone tell me why Enscape won't offer their rendering addon for 3dsmax? They've got it for Revit, Sketchup, and Rhino, but still no Max. I like the effects and appreciate the simple interface over how involved VRAY can get. I posted a question on Enscape's website about this, but they always give sort of vague or non-committal type answers. Does VRAY just have such a stronghold on Max that Enscape doesn't feel they can compete there? Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

  18. Hello! I need a help with Vray GPU Next, Update 2. I have never used Vray GPU before. But I heard that it is much faster than CPU rendering. The quality I''m okay with takes 12 minutes to render with Vray next. I tried several setting changes with Vray GPU next. But the same render takes more than 30 minutes with it whereas it was supposed to be faster. I must be doing something wrong. My CPU is a Intel i5 10400 and the GPU is a GTX 1050Ti. Can anyone suggest me some setting changes so that I can bring it down to less than 12 minutes maintaining similar quality? The settings I used with Vray Next, Update 2 that yielded a render time of 12 minutes is attached herewith. I'd be happy with similar quality output with lesser render time using GPU Next. Thanks in advance.
  19. Hi. I am currently completing arch viz projects on the side for a couple clients and am looking at expanding into higher end production as a second option for specific clients. My current workflow is to model the building in Revit using the .dwg files I am sent from the client and once complete I move into Lumion for the rendering, before I finalize with post production in Photoshop. Both Revit and 3DS Max have VRay, however 3DS max has the additional plug-ins that could advance the imagery beyond what is capable in Revit. As I have been looking at expanding into VRay, I was wondering what experiences others had who have a drafting background and what their workflow is like? Is it worth continuing with Revit (a program I am very familiar with) and testing the VRay plug in? Should I consider taking the time to learn 3DS Max? Alternatively is the Revit to 3DS Max to VRay workflow worth considering? Thanks
  20. Hello all! Our team is pleased to present and recommend for use the plugin "V-TayMtl Converter 3", which, in addition to converting materials, lights, cameras, proxies and other scene components, can now also automatically adjust the workspace in ACEScg or sRGB for rendering in V-Ray! This corresponding function does the following: depending on the option selected, switches to ACEScg or sRGB in the [Render Setup> Settings> Color management> Rendering RGB primaries] finds all VRayBitmap and VRayColor maps in the current scene and determines the purpose of these maps - displayed in color (diffuse (albedo), reflect, refract, translucent, sss, selfillum, environment/light etc.) or with technical data (bump, glossiness, displacement, ior, anisotropy etc.) and separates the map instances (if any) in the conflicting slots. toggles the [RGB colorspace] and [Color space transfer function] maps according to the selected color space. In this case, the function determines whether a bitmap texture with special suffixes in the file name (_lin_srgb, _srgb, _acescg, _raw) is used or the file name is used without a suffix. optionally, you can enable gamma correction in [Render Setup> V-Ray> Color mapping] and rename duplicate map names that may be after splitting instances in conflicting slots. "V-RayMtl Converter 3" allows you to switch to the desired Color Space with one click! You can read more detailed information about this plugin here: "V-RayMtl Converter 3" Official site or here: ScriptSpot "V-RayMtl Converter 3" are officially tested by the Autodesk® team and also is available in the Autodesk® App Store. Good luck and great creative work! Best regards, MAXTools team.
  21. New Physical Material with 35 Presets, an Upgraded Sky Model and Average Performance Boosts of 15% Now Available for Artists and Designers PRAGUE, Czech Republic – July 21, 2021 – Today, Chaos Czech releases Corona Renderer 7 for 3ds Max, an update designed to enhance the realism of 3D scenes and boost render speeds across the board. From photoreal fabrics to expansive sky effects, Corona Renderer 7 makes it easier for artists to stand out. With 35 new presets for glass, metal and fabric, the new Physical Material makes it simple to set up hyper-realistic scenes in minutes. Though intuitive for beginners, the Physical Material also comes with multiple features for deeper control, including Sheen parameters for creating photoreal fabrics like velvet, and Clearcoat, which allows users to add lacquer to objects like cars without making them look plastic. To maintain compatibility with preexisting scenes, the previous Corona Material will still be available as a legacy option. In Corona Renderer 7, the Sky Model sees its biggest expansion yet. Artists can now accurately depict a digital sun and weather from any cliff or skyscraper using the new Altitude Parameter, which leverages real-world data to calculate what the sky will look like from any height. Meanwhile, the new Volume Effect improves the look of large-scale scenes by blending distant objects like mountains more naturally with the atmosphere. This effect is not only easier to control than a Global Volume material, it renders faster too. Faster rendering isn’t just limited to the Volume Effect. Corona Renderer 7 users will also enjoy faster render times, which can be as fast as 50% on scenes heavily using newly optimized features like better transparency processing and faster denoising. This boost even extends to data/scene opening, as files will now open quicker due to the background loading of Corona Bitmaps and Proxies. Other New Features Include: Glass Material Improvements – Create frosted glass that renders quickly with refractions on thin glass in the Physical Material. Industry-Standard Defaults – Automatically apply Roughness and IOR as material defaults for greater compatibility with industry standards, or switch to Glossiness and Specular when desired. More Control Over Metals – Control metals materials more intuitively using the default Edge Color parameter, or use Complex IOR for physically correct scenes. To try Corona Renderer 7 for 3ds Max now, please visit the Chaos Czech website. Pricing/Availability Corona Renderer 7 is available now for 3ds Max 2014-2022 (64-bit). Pricing is subscription-based, with monthly rates set at $28.50 and yearly rates at $330. A free 45-day commercial trial is also available at: https://corona-renderer.com/download. 23. Im attempting a more full environment here, more lived-in, than in the original marketing material scene showing these homes. The client renders had no front yard trees (but most homes do so on this street) so i added them here for this personal work. I also think i need advice on how to blend the curb to street intersection from looking CG. Can anyone offer that or other suggestions on how to add more realism. Maybe i need to be more subtle with the water puddles.? Or random object scatter? Or edge of street displace map? Its difficult to show new buildings yet at the same time capture nature and dirt. Thanks for looking. Paul

  25. This new script I created will allow the user to unhide objects using mouse clicks by temporarily hiding the current scene and unhiding all hidden objects so you can pick the objects you like to unhide. After picking the objects you can right-click and your original scene is back again plus the objects you've picked. If you like the script you can download it from the description area on YouTube Demo link: https://youtu.be/1OiQxu8zKuc
