  1. Hello! I came across these stunningly detailed digital architectural models, and was wondering how does one go about modeling these structures and details? Scripting? Software? or modeling it the traditional way? Comments and thoughts appreciated! Cheers
  2. Studio/Institution: Custura Images Client: Family friend Genre: Residential Exterior Software: 3ds Max, Photoshop, Corona Website: http://behance.net/arthrur Description: Hi everyone! This is my very first time posting here. I'm not really sure what I can do more to make this image pop or at least for the time being. I saw different threads here and people were very generous to give tips and ideas so I would love to hear what you guys think. I mean architecture is agreed upon so changing it that much wouldn't be reasonable but who knows as I might just change it completely if it makes sense! Thanks!
  3. So Id like to get a Laptop for Rhino, Revit, 3D design and rendering + occasional photo/video editing. Ideally under 2k. Buying in US. Considering Razer Blade 15 4k option with GTX 1070, or the newer 2019 model with RTX2080 but without 4k display. Hows rendering performance on RTX cards? Worth the 4k screen trade off? Alternatively the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2 can come with a 32GB ram plus newer 9 Gen i7 but GTX 1650 Max-Q 4GB. Open to any other laptop/workstation laptop ideas. Quadro PC’s do seem a bit pricey.
  4. Hell everyone happy to be among like-minded! 7. Hello, I want to start off by saying that I don't have a formal education in either architecture or design and I'm interested in making architectural visualization as part of my career. So I want to find some books mostly, but really it can be any learning material, that can help me better understand how to create a building, design the interior, create landscapes for an exterior scene, basically the creative part, the decision making process (why add this, why add that, etc). I've watched videos, tutorials, courses on architectural visualization but most of the information is technical, there is very little on the creative process. I already know how to work with 3D software (3ds Max and Blender) and have made some projects, but I'm not really happy with the results. For anyone interested, I upload my work on artstation here. So any recommendations for me to improve on the creative side is most welcomed. Thanks!
  8. Hi all, I have just started using 3DS max and Vray. Previously I've used revit and Vray which although slightly easier won't really give ultra realistic results which is what striving to achieve. Anyway I have just started to learn the basics and I am wondering what courses, tutorials, materials, videos and guides help you get better at the software? Currently I'm using Adam Zollinger's 3DS Max and Vray course on Udemy but some parts are a little outdated. And also I prefer to use cad plans to get more accurate models. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  9. Good day everyone, My name is Francis, currently a student in architecture and will be earning my bachelors soon enough. My goals are: -being able to drive through cities and admire building(s) I have designed -being a master in 3D graphical architecture -and just being versatile in any style I'm already planning my senior thesis and have a pretty good idea but it's gonna take lack of sleep with how much detail it's going to need. Look forward to sharing my experiences with everyone! PS, I'm from America Respectfully, Francis

  12. Hi. I've had my Archviz website on for a couple of months and I never did manage to get feedback on certain aspects like how user friendly and responsive it is. Putting this website up was the first step I took to start my own company. I'm still an undergrad studying Architecture but I'm very positive about the future. Is there anything I could do to improve the website? http://www.arcinvent.com

The attached moodboard is excellent example how playing with colours and patterns can create authentic and original interiors. So, how do you pull off a Bohemian Modern look without creating a mess? Currently we are so hooked on it that you can expect more hippie images of "this & that" style. 23. Sunyat China has shared his first project did with Twinmotion. Time for the project was very limited, that's why they tried it in Twinmotion to test its speed for rendering and project visualization. 3D model created in SketchUp and saved in .skp format. Imported directly in Twinmotion, they did some very quick actions like: replacing materials by Twinmotion's materials in the library, adding vegetations, people and vehicles, placing camera etc. During which they have also modified their SketchUp model and replaced instantly the old one in Twinmotion. Rendering images are exported with videos. From model import to video export, the whole process has taken this new user 2 days' work. The video is far from perfect, it lacks details etc. But for a first try, it's not bad isn't it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3T9HHQZJJk Tianxiao
  24. Test did by Jason Lawford. "Twisty Towers - Fareham Hampshire New Development Test Animation. Modelled in ArchiCAD 19, animated in: The setting up of the model within animations programs, with materials, objects and timeline took roughly the same time. Artlantis Studio 6 - The processing took over 2 weeks to create the images that go together to make the animation. The overall quality of the images are really good, and the windows/glass has real reflections. Twinmotion 2016 - The rich environment and objects really do add to the resulting animation. The program is easy to use. The materials and resulting renders are not quite as good as Atlantis, BUT this really long animation length only took 3 hours to export. I really do love Twinmotion, and have so much more to learn about all of its features."
